apple has just made it way to easy i have a Iphone 3gs and i was so sick of seeing all of those secure wep networks just screaming at me so last week i wrote my own spoonwep for hacking wireless for the iphone only i am blacklisted by app store because of the nature of my app so i have released it at my site
if you have any issues installing the app or have a question please ask and please report any bugs so that they can be fixed

Jan, have a look at Nimbuzz, Meebo and of course Fring. Remember that Android also comes with GTalk, that's my IM of choice.

About Fringe: Does somebody of you has the more detailed experience?
What other IM tools are good for Android phones ( I owe a fresh HTC Hero), so still beginner in digging for good apps. Any tips, useful links?

Having owned both, I am now definitely behind Android. My Hero rocks, I can't imagine how cool the Droid is.

NIce list, Matt. I just got my DROID on release day and am actually going to be able to keep a cell phone through it's contract! (oh my!)

Anyways, I LOVE using Locale on my DROID. I can set up different options to be enabled at different times, GPS locations, battery level, and calendar events. It really helps with me traveling so much between school and work.

When I am driving my GPS signal turns on automatically, my screen brightness turns up and Google Listen (another GREAT Android app) launches so I can listen to my podcasts. This is all linked to a "driving time" even on my calendar. And then when it is class time my phone silences, screen brightness on the lowest and background services turn off. Pretty slick! ;)
