Analytics are a major tool in tracking the success of your website, giving you a real time look on how your online portal is fairing against the million of other websites on the internet. Web traffic is useful in determining where you visitors come from and what they are looking for on your website. PageBoss is the brainchild of a Turkish agency called Pros, who wanted to bring simple website analysis to website and blog owners.
The service comes in four languages and is built around a simple web form asking you to enter your website URL for analysis.
Upon loading, PageBoss will display information on your website, such as creation date, location of hosting and it’s IP address. It will also check to see if your website has a valid sitemap and robots file.
PageBoss will then check your website against twelve of the leading internet services looking to see where your website is linked, mentioned or ranked. Here you will be given information on the true value of your marketing efforts, possibly providing opportunities for you to focus specific energy on increasing your visibility on one of the services.
For example:
- A Google reference will return your Pagerank, inbound and outbound links, analytics check and number of indexed pages.
- A Yahoo reference will return index pages and inlinks.
- A Live Search reference will return indexed pages and backlinks.
- Alexa will return the rank of your website in the world, a guide on where the majority of your traffic comes from and website speed.]
- A Twitter reference will check how many times your website has been mentioned on the microblogging service.
