Synchronize Files On Any Computer With Dropbox

Are you fed up of having to backup your files to your USB key when you move between your computers at work, home or on your other computer? Allow me to introduce Dropbox, a multi-platform (Windows, Mac and Linux) application that allows you to sync your files to designated folders on your computers, as well as the web.

Setting up Dropbox is easy, it’s as simple as setting up a Dropbox account and then connecting to the service using your login credentials.

You can specify the location of where you wish to store the files you wish to share with the computers that you connect via Dropbox. Once this is setup, if any files are added, deleted or moved from that folder, the remote folders will update on each computer accordingly.

Dropbox lists all your recent events, the physical files and gives you an all over view of how you are using your quota. This can be shown in the screenshot below:

I have this setup between my work PC, my desktop computer and my laptop. It saves so much time and effort and allows you to have a working copy of any file you need, accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Download the application, setup and account and try it yourself!
